Mike Koehler leads Azimuth Renewables’ utility-scale solar portfolio primarily in the Midwest. Mike has over 8 years of experience in utility-scale solar project development, acquisition, finance & asset management. Throughout his career, Mike has directly developed and managed operations of over 200MW of utility-scale solar projects across the U.S. worth an estimated $400 million in total project value.
Prior to joining Azimuth in 2022, Mike served 7 years as Chief of Staff & VP, Solar Business Development at Gardner Capital, a private equity firm specializing in renewable energy development and investment. At Gardner, Mike was responsible for the firm’s solar project development, M&A, finance and asset management businesses.
Mike holds an M.A. in Diplomacy and International Relations from Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ and a B.A. in History from Wartburg College in Waverly, IA.
